XAMPP is an extension of Apache, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin.

XAMPP is a tool that provides software packages into one package. By installing XAMPP it is no longer necessary to install and configure Apache web server, PHP and MySQL manually. XAMPP will install and configure it automatically for you or auto configuration.

MySQL can be used to create and mengola database and its contents. We can use MySQL to add, modify and delete data in the database. MySQL is a database management system that is at relational. This means that data is managed in the database will reside on a separate table so that some manipulation of data will be much faster.

MySQL can be used to manage a database ranging from small to very large. MySQL can also run commands Structured Query Language (SQL) to manage the databases that exist in it. Until now, MySQL has grown up to version 5. MySQL 5 is supported for easy management of triggers in a database table.

4.    PHPMyAdmin

With MYSQL database management should be done by typing the command lines accordingly (command line) for any particular purpose. Bagian Penting XAMPP Mengenal bagian XAMPP :

• Htdoc adalah folder tempat meletakkan berkas-berkas yang akan dijalankan, seperti berkas PHP, HTML dan skrip lain. 
• PhpMyAdmin merupakan bagian untuk mengelola basis data MySQL yang ada dikomputer. Untuk membukanya, buka browser lalu ketikkan alamat http://localhost/phpMyAdmin, maka akan muncul halaman phpMyAdmin. 
• Kontrol Panel yang berfungsi untuk mengelola layanan (service) XAMPP. Seperti menghentikan (stop) layanan, ataupun memulai (start).
